Ice Cream Glove
the idea
As a kid, X's dad would toss him diving catches on the living room couch. When a ball stuck to the tip of his glove, he'd call it a "snow cone catch."
But to young X, it didn't look like a snow cone. It looked like a scoop of ice cream melting over the fingertips of his glove. The Ice Cream Glove was imagined.
1998

the first sketch
17 years later, the childhood idea returned. X watched his hometown Little League shrink from two leagues to struggling to field one and began asking why baseball was losing popularity.
The answer seemed clear: other sports celebrated personality, self-expression, and culture while baseball clung to tradition. The game had lost some of its backyard magic. Then the memory of the Ice Cream Glove returned, and X began to sketch.
2015

the impossible
For years, factories insisted the Ice Cream Glove was impossible to make without being printed. After hundreds of failed attempts at cut and sew, X refused to let the idea die.
2018/2019

introducing the ice cream glove
After years of being told it was impossible, the first Ice Cream Glove was finally brought to life.
Released on National Ice Cream Day during the COVID-19 pandemic, it was created to bring more fun to the game of catch as an original art piece by X. The glove sold out instantly, went viral, and sparked a movement that would change baseball forever.
2020

absolutely ridiculous
After the Ice Cream Glove went viral, X offered the idea to major baseball brands, hoping they could bring it to more players. Instead, he was told it was "absolutely ridiculous."
Rather than quit, X embraced the criticism and named his gallery Absolutely Ridiculous as a reminder to where the industry was when the ice cream glove was born. The first collection launched, and a new era of self-expression in sports began.
2021

welcome to the big leagues
Within months of launching, Absolutely Ridiculous appeared in MLB The Show and on some of baseball's biggest stars, including cover athlete Jazz Chisholm Jr.
The message was clear: these gloves weren't just art. They belonged on the biggest stage in the game.
2022

ice cream sliding mitts
Sliding mitts were starting to become a staple of the game, but they all looked the same. X saw a blank canvas and transformed the now-iconic Ice Cream design into a sliding mitt.
The release sparked a wave of self-expression across baseball. Soon, stars like Elly De La Cruz and Bryce Harper were turning on-field gear into personality, helping usher in a new era of creativity throughout the sport.
2023

the movement
What began as one athlete turned artist's idea became a movement. Self-expression spread throughout baseball as players, brands, and fans embraced a more creative version of the game.
This was never about gloves. It was about giving athletes permission to be themselves.
2024

innovation
Never content to follow convention, X turned his attention to reimagining how equipment could perform. The Hybrid Batting Gloves and Hybrid Sliding Mitt introduced new approaches to performance, comfort, and self-expression.
The Hybrid Sliding Mitt became the first patented sliding mitt with interchangeable attachments, proving that innovation and creativity could coexist on the field.
2025

the future
What began as a childhood sketch has become an artists movement built on creativity, self-expression, and challenging convention.
Today, X and Absolutely Ridiculous are reimagining sports beyond baseball, bringing the same unconventional approach to football, golf, apparel, and whatever comes next.
