Overview

Returns and exchanges are available for items purchased directly from AbsolutelyRidiculous.com within 30 days from the date of receipt, provided items are new, unused, and in their original packaging. This policy applies to all countries unless otherwise noted below.

AR does not accept returns or exchanges on items purchased from third-party retailers including Dick's Sporting Goods or any other authorized reseller. Those purchases are subject to the retailer's own return policy.

Once an order is placed — including custom and made-to-order items — it cannot be canceled. All sales are final at the time of order submission.


How to Initiate a Return or Exchange

To start a return or exchange, visit our Returns Portal at AbsolutelyRidiculous.com. You can also email our customer service team at team@ariagloves.com with your order number and the item you wish to return.

Please note that not all items are eligible for exchange. Exchanges are fulfilled based on availability at the time of your request.


Free Returns + Package Protection

At checkout, AR offers an optional Free Returns + Package Protection add-on for $2.98, powered by Redo. When selected, this covers:

  • Free return shipping on eligible items within our standard return policy
  • Protection against package loss or damage during outbound shipment


If you deselect this option at checkout, you are liable for return shipping costs and any loss or damage that occurs during transit. AR strongly recommends adding this protection at checkout, particularly for high-value or custom orders.

Canada customers: package protection coverage enables returns for eligible items. Without it, Canadian orders are only eligible for return in the case of a verified factory defect, incorrect item, or incorrect size sent by AR.

If you are shipping a return valued over $75, we strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance. AR cannot guarantee receipt of returned packages lost in transit and is not responsible for such losses. You may be reimbursed by your shipping provider if you purchased the appropriate insurance.

Items Not Eligible for Return or Exchange

  • Personalized products (custom embroidery, etched items, commissioned pieces)
  • Custom Fitted / Made-to-Order Fielding Gloves (see below)
  • Custom Pro Wood Bats
  • Engraved Metal Bats and Accessories
  • Mystery Sliding Mitts (except verified factory defect)
  • Items purchased from third-party retailers
  • Items that have been used, worn, washed, altered, or broken in


Studio X and Pop-Up Purchases

Returns for items purchased at Studio X (2316 Cruzen St, Nashville, TN 37211) must be made in person at Studio X only. AR does not accept returns at any pop-up locations. Items must be in new condition with all original tags and packaging attached.


Product-Specific Return Conditions

Ready-to-Ship (In Stock) Fielding Gloves

  • 30-day return or exchange available for all non-personalized gloves
  • Must be returned unused and unaltered — not broken in beyond the condition received, and no glove conditioner applied
  • Must include all original packaging


Custom Fitted Fielding Gloves (Made-to-Order, Built to Your Specs)

Custom gloves are handcrafted to your specifications after your order is submitted. Because each glove is made specifically for you, custom gloves are not eligible for return or exchange. All custom glove sales are final.

Apparel, Headwear, Bags, and Batting Gloves

  • Must be in new condition with all original tags and packaging
  • Must not be washed, worn, or altered


Protective Gear (Elbow Guards, Shin Guards) and Sliding Mitts

  • Must be new, unused, and in original packaging
  • Exchanges available for in-stock items only
  • Mystery Sliding Mitts: eligible for return only in the event of a verified factory defect
  • Standard returns are not available — see Warranty section for defect claims


Metal Bats and Accessories

  • Must be new and unused, inside all original sealed packaging
  • Engraved or customized items are not eligible for return or exchange


Wood Bats

  • Non-custom bats only, returned within the 30-day window
  • Must be new, unused, and unaltered
  • Custom Pro Wood Bats are not eligible for return or exchange


Sunglasses

  • Must be returned with original unmarked packaging, all accessories, manuals, documentation, and registration materials
  • Must be in original, unaltered condition


Pickleball Paddles

  • Standard 30-day return available for unused paddles in original packaging
  • Warranty claims handled separately — see Warranty section below

 

Right of Withdrawal

Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive, you have the right to withdraw from many contracts within 14 days of receiving your order, without providing any reason.

Please note that under Article 14(1) of Directive 2011/83/EU, customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping. A prepaid label will be provided through our withdrawal portal; the label cost will be deducted from your refund.

We will issue your refund within fourteen (14) days of receiving notification of your cancellation, or, if later, once we have received the returned goods or you have provided proof that the goods have been shipped back to us.

This right applies to all items purchased through our store, with certain exceptions such as digital products, perishable goods, sealed personal hygiene products, and personalized items, as set forth in Article 16 of Directive 2011/83/EU.

 

PART 2 — WARRANTIES


Baseball & Softball Glove Warranty — 1 Year

All Absolutely Ridiculous baseball and softball gloves are covered by a 1-year warranty against defects in materials and craftsmanship for purchases made directly from AbsolutelyRidiculous.com.


What's Covered

  • Defects in materials and craftsmanship


What's Not Covered

  • Normal wear and fading over time
  • Cosmetic damage
  • Damage caused by misuse, heat, or steam treatment
  • Products purchased from unauthorized sellers


A Note on Handmade Details

Each AR glove is crafted from Kip Leather and individually tanned, pressed, and assembled. Subtle variations in color, stamping, foiling, and embroidery are natural characteristics of the handmade process. No two gloves are identical — these variations are not defects and are not covered under warranty.


How to Submit a Glove Warranty Claim

Protective Gear Warranty (Elbow Guards, Shin Guards, Sliding Mitts)

Absolutely Ridiculous protective gear and sliding mitts are not covered under a standard warranty given the performance-intensive nature of their use. However, cases involving verified defects in materials or craftsmanship will be reviewed individually.

  • Verified defects in materials or craftsmanship, reviewed on a case-by-case basis


What's Not Covered

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Scratches or impact damage
  • Misuse or user modification
  • Products purchased from unauthorized sources


How to Submit a Protective Gear Warranty Claim

Pickleball Paddle Warranty — Limited Lifetime

Absolutely Ridiculous pickleball paddles are guaranteed against workmanship and manufacturer defects for the lifetime of the paddle for the original owner, with proof of purchase and identity verification matching the name on the order from AbsolutelyRidiculous.com. This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original owner.


What's Covered

  • Manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the paddle


What's Not Covered

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage caused by abuse, negligence, or user modification
  • Chips to the top or sides of edgeless paddles
  • Natural breakdown or fading of graphics or textures over extended use
  • Products purchased from unauthorized sources
  • Replacement paddles (replacement paddles are not covered under this warranty)


Additional Terms

This warranty is available for Absolutely Ridiculous pickleball paddles purchased in the United States only. AR holds sole discretion to determine whether a damaged paddle qualifies for warranty coverage and whether to repair or replace the item.
